GENESIS

Genesis is my new exhibition presented in the welcoming setting of the Van Hofen Space in Neukölln—a place where culinary arts intertwine with fine arts, marked with the warmth of food, community, and shared experience.

Making use of an earthy green color palette blended with deep reds I have been exploring themes of connection, transformation, and new beginnings. Natural creatures embrace, reach , and interact —evoking a sense of growth and emotional closeness.

Set within the cozy, intimate atmosphere of the Van Hofen restaurant, the works are not just shown, but hosted—inviting visitors to feel, dine, and connect. We had a wonderfully special opening dinner which has received two warmly written articles found below, such as a little video encapsulating the story.

“Earth, Fire and Jade”

In order to conclude this wonderful project the founders created a drink as a fairwell to the show called “Earth, Jade and fire” made of smokey mezcal, rooisbos (homage to my sweet south africa), betroot and kombucha. It was all the things delicious. Thank you very much Philipp and Nicole!
